Hereby is Myrgorod, a small town near Poltava. In 1835 Mykola Gogol wrote a collection of stories dedicated to this city, thus Myrgorod is a well-known place. Today, Myrgorod is home to about 40,000 people, there is a vibrant Jewish community there, but the majority of its members are elderly, who currently do not leave their homes.
Due to the support of the RGOC “Gospel of God’s Grace” and our volunteers, in cooperation with the local Jewish Community we have provided food sets to the most needy members to suppoort them during quarantine.

Irpin’ is located right next to Kyiv. This former shtetle is small, but during these hard times its inhabitants face the same great difficulties as the inhabitants of the metropolis. Of course, the current situation has affected elderly at first hand: public transportation doesn’t work, limited exit from homes, lack of support people need. At the beginning of May, All-Ukrainian Charitable Fund “2U” due to the support of “World Jewish Relief” (UK) and RGOC “Gospel of God’s Grace” gathered and delivered 50 food packages to the impoverished lonely elderly of Shalom Regional Jewish Community based in Irpin’.

This year Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and Victory Day are special days. Majority of those who had survived World War II and taken part in the fighting would not go outside to celebrate. And in spite of the fact that many of them can’t leave their homes due to their age, they should have been quarantined at home. The representatives of the All-Ukrainian Charitable Fund “2U”, due to the support of our partners from “World Jewish Relief” (UK) and dozens of our excellent volunteers have decided not only to congratulate, but to bring the food sets to people who survived the hard times of the WWII and to support them in times of quarantine as well.
A lot has changed since 1945, but people visited still remember those years’ famine and horrors. “You know, those times we were still young and strong but we couldn’t find food. Now we are old and seek and we are afraid to leave our home. Thank you for bringing us hope, we do appreciate you give us the possibility to stay home and feel that there are people who remember us and care about us. ”

Tomorrow will be the fiftieth day as most residents of our country are quarantined. People of retirement age are afraid to leave their homes, and those who live far away from supermarkets are unable to purchase the necessary products. Due to the help and support of the Gospel of the Grace of God, J-Up, the Kyiv City Jewish Community and, our volunteers, the All-Ukrainian Charitable Fund “To You” (ACF 2U) provided hundreds of food sets to the most needy people in April. Among recipients there were many children families and golden age people, Righteous. We are grateful to everyone who has helped and joined us, we continue to help, and believe in the best. As per outstanding Lina Kostenko: “And you thought that Ukraine is so simple. Ukraine is great. Ukraine is an exclusive. All history rollers have passed through it. All types of tortures have been tested there. It has been hardened with the highest guard. ”
