Babi Yar – this name is well-known all over the world. It is associated with massacre and pain. This is the tragedy of all humankind, which cannot be forgotten.
On October 7, 2015 The Jewish Foundation of Ukraine (JFU) ACF “To You” (ACF 2U), and The Assembly of Nationalities of Ukraine conducted a requiem concert Concert-Requiem “Babi Yar. Memory”.
Before the concert began the audience was addressed by the Head of Rovshan Tagiyev, The Assembly of Nationalities of Ukraine Head; Arkadiy Monastyrskiy, JFU President; Julia Goldenberg, ACF 2U Board Chair; Mr. Gennady Polishchouk, Counselor of the Embassy of the State of Israel to Ukraine; and Mr. Martin Graf , German Embassy to Ukraine Counselor.
All speakers pointed out that the memory of the victims should be preserved not only for themselves but for the sake of the coming generations that such a tragedy could never happen again anywhere in the world. They also emphasized that the state and public organizations are obliged to do everything possible and impossible to open Holocaust and Babi Yar Museum by the 75th anniversary of the tragedy, which will be marked exactly in one year.
And after that the flow was given to great music performed by the wonderful musicians supervised by an outstanding pianist Margarita Levitskaya.
