On December 4, 2014 at 12.00 at Belaya Tserkov city center of social and psychological rehabilitation of children “Zlagoda” (29, Pushkin St) charity action and provision of humanitarian assistance to vulnerable local community members – refugees from the eastern part of Ukraine (the ATO zone), many of whom are people with special needs, took place. This event was initiated by the All-Ukrainian Charitable Fund “To You” (ACF 2U, Director of Julia Goldenberg) with the involvement of local city authorities and the Belay Tserkov Jewish community “Mitzvah” (Chairman Alexander Podolsky). This event was made possible due to the donation of WJR – ACF 2U partner-charity from Great Britain.
More than 150 families of refugees received warm winter blankets, heaters, electrical bed linens. These items will give them the possibility to survive the current winter in their new homes they were forced to move in due to the war.

– Belaya Tserkov City Council Children Affairs Department Head Valentina Kiseleva;
– Belaya Tserkov Jewish Community Board Chair Olexander Podolskiy;
– Belaya Tserkov Jewish school “Mitzvah-613” Natella Andrushchenko.
During the event a vibrant discussion between the recipients and the organizers of the action occurred. Refugees reported that the city authorities are doing everything possible to make their stay comfortable in the town but unfortunately their resources are rather limited.
Head of National Expert Committee of Ukraine on Public Moral Protection Vasyl Kostytskyy stated that such actions demonstrate our humanity, morality, spirituality, and responsibility to each other, which is typical to multinational Ukraine.
Belaya Tserkov Mayor’s Deputy Mykola Antonuk said that the city government would not have the possibility to provide such assistance without volunteers and charities and especially thanked Ms. Julia for the ongoing support provided to Belaya Tserkov impoverished population.

of ACF 2U Director Julia Goldenberg thanked all those who contributed to this event and especially refugees – people who had allowed to provide assistant to them, and of course partners, who made this assistance possible. She emphasized that changes in the country begin with each person and the last year demonstrates the unity of our society that gives us hope that peace and prosperity will dominate in the country.
There were many expressions of appreciation for the assistance and optimistic believes that very soon life will change for the better in multi-tolerant European united Ukraine.
